The problem starts when one person decides they want to do all the singing and none of the clapping.

And sometimes one person is pushed to do all the singing and most of the clapping. This is unhealthy too.

when one sings and the other claps it's not a duet it's a solo. I think marriage is more like tandem kayaking, they have to sync up or else they sink down!.

A duet is a musical composition or piece for two performers.
A song is made of a verses and refrain. Verses are usually sung by one singer, the refrain (chorus) might be sung by both. The success of a duet is based on when not to overlap. Overlap is just noise.

And this is what the quote meant. co-operation might sometimes mean waiting for your partner to finish his verse.

Once you asked me about my dream and I said unity ... when two or more souls are in sync and living in harmony. In this day and age this is very rare to find. Imagine two classical dancers, their moves are synchronized from start to end, even in music I always prefer the refrain to the verses in duets, when the two voices resonate the same frequency, for example the Lakme flower duet,

I think something profound results when two or more people become aligned on the same course heading to the same destination.

Instead of singing then clapping, how about singing and clapping in the same time. I think overlap is noise only when the two are moving in opposite directions.

Marriage is tricky, today I read a quote that sums it all. The secret of a happy marriage remains a secret.

I have always imagined the perfect relation to be the type of relation when can drive blind because the other one can see the road.

But I didn't see this couple around. It comes as moments, and these moments need practice to occur more frequent.

But I think the perfect relation is a myth, like every perfect thing. We live in a world that rule by relativity. What's perfect today will be just good tomorrow and will turn to be worst in a week.

Why don't you tell me more about you :) Your profile doesn't say much and I am so curious to know :)

Oh I should have introduced myself, but well this is what i hate about the internet, anonymity, it's like a masked ball haha.

I am just a simple man, but my life so far was full of twists and turns, I traveled a lot and worked in so many different fields despite my training as an engineer, however I always get back to point zero and start over again! but along the journey I learned a lot of things and met so many people from around the world which I am grateful for, still trying to reach my final destination though, may God help me.

I updated my profile on the facebook which i am still new to, please add me if you have an account there, I don't know nothing about you as well.

Ahmad Sabet, pleased to meet you.
